Alexander Stremitzer, originally from Austria, moved to Jacksonville (Arlington/Girvin area) in 1995. In 2001 he bought a historic home in Springfield and moved after completing renovations in 2002. He has an Electrical Engineering degree and currently works as IT Architect for Siemens Medical Solutions. His active travel schedule takes him across the USA and some international destinations. He served as president of the Historic Springfield Neighborhood Watch Group in 2007 and as board member for Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) in 2009. He participated in the SPAR Bylaws revision together with LISC and COJ. He was a Jacksonville Community Council (JCCI) member and completed training on "How to be a Board Member", "How to be a Treasurer" and "How to fundraise". Alex is currently a member of the Sherriff's Advisory Council (SHADCO) and Preservation SOS. He was a major contributor to the initial Bylaws for Preservation SOS. Alex is involved in the community and participant in social activities like First Friday, Springfield Wine Society (SWS), Springfield Brew Crew and Springfield Animal Care and Rescue Club (SACARC) Pack. He has served as Parliamentarian for SIAWC since 4/2010. |
